Member John Leary introduced the following resolution and
moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 68 -52
RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED
GRADING, BASE 6 SURFACING IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 1968 -3
AND CURB GUTTER IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 1968 -4
WHEREAS, it is proposed that there be constructed improvements
consisting of the following:
1968 -3 Grading, Base 6 Surfacing on Dupont Avenue North from
F.A.I. 94 to 59th Avenue; and North Lilac Drive from Dupont Avenue to
Colfax Avenue.
1968 -4 Curb 6 Gutter on Dupont Avenue North from F.A.I. 94
to 59th Avenue.
WHEREAS, the City Engineer has made a preliminary report ad-
vising that said proposed improvements are feasible and that they can
be constructed at estimated costs of $62,557.00 and $12,229.00, respec-
tively.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, as follows:
1. The Council proposes to proceed under authority granted by
Chapter 429, Minnesota Statutes.
2. A public hearing on the proposed improvements shall be
held at the City Hall in the City on Monday, the 25th day of March,
1968, at 8 :25 o'clock P.M., C.S.T. and 8:35 o'clock P.M., C.S.T.,
respectively, and the Clerk shall publish notice of the time and
place of hearing by two weeks' publication in the official newspaper
of the city.
3. The area proposed to be assessed for said improvements is
as follows:
All lots and parcels abutting the above named streets where
the proie,cts are to be constructed.
4. These proposed improvements shall be designated Grading,
Base Surfacing Improvement Project No. 1968 -3 and Curb Gutter
Improvement Project No. 1968 -4.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly
seconded by member EarlRydberg ,and upon vote being taken thereon,
the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, John Leary, Earl
Rydberg, Howard Heck, and Theodore Willard
and the following voted against the same: none
whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
