HomeMy WebLinkAbout1968-067 CCRr 1 Member Theodore Willard and moved its adoption: ATTEST: RESOLUTION NO. 68 -67 introduced the following resolution RESOLUTION REIMBURSING DEVELOPER FOR CITY WATER MAIN INSTALLED IN EMERSON AVENUE BETWEEN 67th AVENUE NORTH AND THE NORTH LINE OF HI CREST SQUARE ADDITION WHEREAS, a developer, Mr. Kenneth Bergstrom, installed a water main in Emerson Avenue North from 67th Avenue North to the North Line of Hi Crest Square Addition; and WHEREAS, said water main was installed during 1963 as part of Project No. 1963 -3 and was intended to become a part of the City water system; and WHEREAS, said water main has now become a part of the City water system; and WHEREAS, the affected portions of Hi Crest Square Addition were assessed in 1967 for water main Project No. 1967 -9 in accordance with existing policies and procedures; and WHEREAS, the City Engineer has determined the value of said water main was $1,856.43, which amount includes construction costs plus 10 percent thereof for engineering; and WHEREAS, the City Engineer has further determined that the above listed amount represents a reasonable and proper value for the work and recommends that the amount be reimbursed to Mr. Bergstrom: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota to authorize a payment from the 1968 Improvement Fund (Project No. 1967 -9) in the amount of $1,856.43 to Mr. Kenneth Bergstrom as payment in full for the water main installed by Mr. Bergstrom in Emerson Avenue North between 67th Avenue North and the North Line of Hi Crest Square Addition. March 25, 1968 Date Mayor Clerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Howard Heck and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, John Leary, Earl Rydberg, Howard Heck and Theodore Willard and the following voted against the same: none. whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
