HomeMy WebLinkAbout1967-338 CCRMember John Leary introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 67 -338 RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED STREET SURFACING IMPROVEMENT NO. 1968 -7 WHEREAS, it is proposed that there be constructed an improvement consisting of the following: 1968 -7 Street surfacing on Bryant Avenue North from 55th Avenue to 59th Avenue; 56th Avenue North from approximately 165 feet west of centerline Bryant Avenue to AldrichAvenue; and 58th Avenue North from approximately 196 feet west to 165 feet east of centerline of Bryant Avenue. WHEREAS, the City Engineer has made a preliminary report advising that said proposed improvement is feasible and that it can be constructed at an estimated cost of $22,033.00. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, as follows: 1. The Council proposes to proceed under authority granted by Chapter 429, Minnesota Statutes. 2. A public hearing on the proposed improvement shall be held at the City Hall in the City on Monday, the 11th day of December, 1967, at 8 :30 o'clock P. M. and the Clerk shall publish notice of the time and place of hearing by two weeks' publication in the official newspaper of the City. follows: ALL LOTS AND PARCELS ABUTTING THE ABOVE DESCRIBED STREETS. 4. This proposed improvement shall be designated Street Surfacing Improvement No. 1968 -7. November 27, 1967 Date ATTEST: The area proposed to be assessed for said improvement is as The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Gordon Erickson and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, John Leary, Gordon Erickson, Howard Heck and Theodore Willard, and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
