HomeMy WebLinkAbout1967-363 CCRThe Mayor announced that the meeting was open for the consideration of proposed Street Surfacing Improvement Project No. 1968 -17. The Clerk produced an affidavit of publication of notice of hearing on the proposed improvement showing two weeks publication thereof in the official newspaper, the last publication being on December 7, 1967, which affidavit was examined and found satisfactory and ordered placed on file. The Mayor then called upon all property owners present to present arguments either for or against the proposed improvement. After hearing and considering all objections, and the property owners appearing in favor of said improvement, member Gordon Erickson introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION ORDERING CONSTRUCTION OF STREET SURFACING IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 1968 -17 BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, that it is hereby determined that it is necessary and for the best interests of the City and the owners of property specially benefitted thereby, that the following improvement shall be constructed: Project No. 1968 -17 RESOLUTION NO, 67 -363 Street Surfacing on Dupont Avenue North from 53rd Avenue to 55th Avenue; Colfax Avenue North from 53rd Avenue to 55th Avenue; 54th Avenue North from 172 feet west to centerline Dupont Avenue; and the north half of 53rd Avenue North from 172 feet west of centerline Dupont Avenue to 167 feet east of centerline Colfax Avenue. The estimated cost is $17,528.00. December 11, 1967 The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member John Leary and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, John Leary, Gordon Erickson, Howard Heck and Theodore Willard, and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
