HomeMy WebLinkAbout1967-372 CCRMember Gordon Erickson introduced the following resolution its adoption: RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING WATER TANK MAINTENANCE CONTRACT WHEREAS, the periodic inspection program has revealed the necessity to clean and paint the interior of the City's 500,000 gallon elevated water tank; and WHEREAS, the inspection has revealed certain other minor work which sould be accomplished; and WHEREAS, a proposal has been received from Larson Tank Company proposing to sand -blast the interior of the water tank, apply two coats of zinc dust zinc oxide paint, re -weld a hand rail around the top of the riser, and remove an ice destroyed stiffener ring, all for $3,975.00; and WHEREAS, the Director of Public Works and the City Manager concur and recommend that the remedial work is necessary and that the proposal is reasonable; and WHEREAS, the City Council determines that said work is routine maintenance: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota to authorize the City Manager to enter into a contract with Larson Tank Company for the interior painting and restoration of the 500,000 gallon elevated water tank in the amount of $3,975.00. December 28, 1967 Date RESOLUTION NO. 67 -372 Mayor The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Theodore Willard, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, John Leary, Gordon Erickson, Howard Heck and Theodore Willard, and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
