HomeMy WebLinkAbout1967-248 CCR Member Howard Heck introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 67 -248 RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED STREET SURFACING IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 1967 -46 WHEREAS, it is proposed that there be constructed an improve- ment consisting of the following: 1967 -46 Street surfacing on France Avenue North from 67th Avenue North to 69th Avenue North; 68th Avenue North from France Avenue to Ewing Avenue; 67th Avenue North from Grimes Avenue to Ewing Avenue. WHEREAS, the City Engineer has made a preliminary report advising that said proposed improvement is feasible and that it can be constructed at an estimated cost of $12,063.00. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, as follows: 1. The Council proposes to proceed under authority granted by Chapter 429, Minnesota Statutes. 2. A public hearing on the proposed improvement shall be held at the City Hall in the City on Monday, the 21st day of August, 1967, at 8:10 o'clock P.M., daylight saving time, and the Clerk shall publish notice of the time and place of hearing by two weeks' publi- cation in the official newspaper of the City. 3. The area proposed to be assessed for said improvement is as follows: ALL LOTS AND PARCELS ABUTTING THE ABOVE DESCRIBED STREETS. 4. This proposed improvement shall be designated Street Surfacing Improvement No. 1967 -46. August 7, 1967 Date Mayor F/ ATTEST: Clerk The motion fo r the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member John Leary and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, john Leary, and Howard Heck and the following voted against the same: none whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
