HomeMy WebLinkAbout1967-256 CCR Member Howard Heck introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION N0. 67 -256 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING WORK (CONTRACTED BY VILLAGE) WHEREAS, pursuant to a written contract signed with the (then) Village of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, Bury 6 Carlson, Inc. has satisfactorily completed the following improvement in accord- ance with said contract: Grading, Base 6 Surfacing Improvement Project No. 1966 -1 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center: 1. The work completed under said contract is hereby accepted and approved. 2. The value of work performed is less than the original contract amount by $1,977.20 because of the deletion of prime coat (not required), the scaling back of paving on side streets, the reduced amount of gravel required under curb and gutter due to better than anticipated sub -soil conditions, and minor overestimating on some items. 3. It is hereby confirmed that final payment has been satis- fied on said contract on August 14, 1967, taking the contractor's receipt in full. The total amount paid for said contract for said improvement project was $71,729.32. August 14, 1967 Date Mayor ATTEST: `Clerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member john Leary and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, john Leafy and Howard Heck and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was duly passed and adopted.
