HomeMy WebLinkAbout1967-295 CCR r Member Howard Heck introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 67 -295 RESOLUTION CONFIRMING ASSESSMENTS FOR SANITARY SEWER IMPROVEMENT NO'S. 1966 -15, 1966 -41, 1966 -42, 1967 -7, 1967 -8, 1967 -21 1967 -31 AND 1967 -35, AND WATER IMPROVEMENT NO'S. 1966 -16 1966 -43, 1967 -1 1967 -9 1967 -17, 1967 -22, 1967 -23, 1967 -24, 1967 -26, 1967 -32 AND 1967 -34, AND STREET IMPROVE- MENT NO'S. 1966 -7, 1966 -10, 1966 -21, 1966 -27, 1966 -29, AND 1967 -6 AND GRADING, BASE 6 SURFACING IMPROVEMENT NO'S. 1966 -1 1966 -46, AND 1966 -47, AND CURB 8 GUTTER IMPROVEMENT NO'S. 1966 -2 1966 -44 AND 1966 -45 AND STORM SEWER IMPROVE- MENT NO'S. 1966 -3, 1966 -3A, AND 1966 -22, AND PUBLIC UTILITIES WATER HOOK -UPS, AND PUBLIC UTILITIES WATER REVENUE 67 HOOK- UPS, AND SANITARY SEWER CONNECTIONS BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, as follows: 1. The City Clerk has, with the assistance of the Engineer heretofore selected by this Council for such purpose, calculated the proper amounts to be specially assessed for the improvements known as the improvements listed above of said City against every assess- able lot, piece or parcel of land in accordance with the provisions of law, and has prepared and filed with the City Clerk tabulated statements in duplicate showing the proper description of each and every lot, piece or parcel of land to be specially assessed and the amount calculated against the same. 2. Notice has been duly published as required by law that this Council would meet in special session on Monday, September 18, 1967, and in regular session on Monday, September 25, 1967, to pass on the proposed assessments. 3. Said proposed assessments have at all times been open to inspection and copying by all persons interested, and opportunity has been given to all interested persons to present their objections, if an to such proposed assessments or o an item thereof. any, p p t t t y 4. This Council finds that each of the lots, pieces or parcels of land enumerated in said proposed assessments was and is specially benefitted p y b said improvement in the amount of said y pro- P P posed assessment set opposite the description P of each such lot P p piece or parcel of land, and that amount so set out is hereby levied against each of the respective lots, pieces or parcels of land therein described. 5. Such proposed assessments are adopted and confirmed, and the sums fixed and named in said proposed assessments are affirmed, adopted and confirmed as the proper special assessments for each of said lots, pieces or parcels of land respectively. RESOLUTION NO. 67 -295 6. Said assessments as adopted and confirmed shall be certified to by the City Clerk and filed in his office, and shall thereon be and constitute the special assessments for the payment of the above listed improvements. 7. The amounts assessed against each lot, piece or parcel of land shall bear interest from the date hereof until the same have been paid at the rate of five per cent (5 per annum. 8. Such assessments shall be payable in equal installments beginning in the year 1968 payable on the first day of January in each year and continuing until all of said installments shall have been paid, each installment to be collected with taxes collectible during said year by the County Auditor. Sanitary Lateral Improvement No's. 1966 -15, 1966 -41, 1966 -42, 1967 -7, 1967 -31, and 1967 -35 in twenty equal annual installments. C. Water Improvement No's. 1967 -9, 1967 -22, 1967 -26 and 1967 -32 in three equal annual installments. D. Water Improvement No's. 1966 -16, 1966 -43 1967 -1 1967 -17, 1967 -22 1967 -23, 1967 -24, 1967 -26, 1967 -32 and 1967 -34 in twenty equal annual installments. E. Street Improvement No's. 1966 -7 1966 -1Q 1966 -21 1966 -27, 1966 -29 in seven equal annual installments; and Street Improvement No. 1967 -6 in seven equal annual installments (covered by developer bond). F. Grading, Base Surfacing Improvement No's. 1966 -1, 1966 -46 and 1966 -47 in fifteen equal annual installments. G. Curb and Gutter Improvement No's. 1966 -2, 1966 -44 and 1966 -45 in fifteen equal annual installments. H. Storm Sewer Improvement No's. 1966 -3, 1966 -3A and 1966 -22 in twenty equal annual installments. I. Public Utilities Water Hook -ups in twenty equal annual installments. J. Public Utilities Water Revenue 67 in twenty equal annual installments. K. Sewer Connections in three equal annual installments. RESOLUTION NO. 67 -295 9. The City Clerk is hereby directed to make up and file in the office of the County Auditor of Hennepin County a certified statement of the amount which will be due thereon the first day of January in each year.
