HomeMy WebLinkAbout1967-300 CCR F Member Gordon Erickson introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 67 -300 i RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING A TAX LEVY FOR 1968 BUDGET APPROPRIATIONS BE IT RESOLVED b the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center: Y Y Y Y 1. There is hereby approved for expenditures in 1968 from general taxes, the following sums for the purpose indicated: City Operations and Administration 608,120 Poor Relief 7,000 Firemen's Relief Association 36,706 Employees' Retirement 76,567 Policeman's Pension 42,169 770,562 The foregoing does not include levies already certified to the County Auditor for the payment of outstanding loans which levies for the year 1968 are as follows: Certificates of Indebtedness 23,633 State Loan 1,545 Park Bond Redemption 32,000 Library Bond Redemption 17,200 74,378 Total Expenditures for the year 1968 from general taxes 844,940 2. There is hereby levied upon all taxable property lying within the City of Brooklyn Center, in addition to all levies heretofore certified to the County Auditor as indicated in paragraph 1 hereof, the sum of $770,562, and the clerk shall cause a copy of this resolution to be certified to the County Auditor, so that said sum shall be spread upon the tax rolls and will be payable in the year 1968. October 4, 1967 Da Mayor ATTEST: C erk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member John Leary and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, John Leary, Gordon Erickson and Howard Heck and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
