HomeMy WebLinkAbout1967-160 CCR Member Theodore Willard introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 67 -160 RESOLUTION TO APPROVE PURCHASES BY THE CITY MANAGER WHEREAS, Section 6.05 of the City Charter of the City of Brooklyn Center requires that the City Manager first obtain the approval of the City Council prior to making or letting contracts for the purchase of merchandise, materials or equipment, or any kind of construction work when the amount of such contract exceeds one thousand dollars ($1,000.00) but is less than twenty -five hundred dollars ($2,500.00); and WHEREAS, the City Manager has advised the Council that he had obtained quotations on the purchase of equipment and of his intent to purchase said equipment; and WHEREAS, the City Council did give its informal approval of the purchase of said equipment; and WHEREAS, said equipment, and best quotations were as follows: 1 Used Compressor and Paver Breaker (Street Department) The Zeco Co. 2,177.00 1 Used Massey Ferguson Tractor w/ loader (Street Department)- Tri-State Machinery Co. 2,500.00 1 Gasoline Standby Generator (Police Department) Motorola Co. 1,016.15 1,500 feet of 2 -1/2" fire hose (Fire Department) Bi- Lateral Hose Co. 2,499.00 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center that the purchase of the aforementioned equipment by the City Manager be and hereby are, approved. May 29, 1967 w4e Date Mayor ATTEST: Clerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Gordon Erickson and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Howard Heck, John Leary, Gordon Erickson and Theodore Willard, and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
