and moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 67 -174
RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED
WATER IMPROVEMENT NO. 1967 -34 AND PROVIDING FOR
REIMBURSEMENT OF UNASSESSED COST OF WATER IMPROVEMENT
NO. 1960 -1
WHEREAS it is proposed that there be constructed an
improvement consisting of the following:
1967 -34 Water main in 69 -1/2 Avenue North from the east
line of Gregor's Addition to 420 feet east.
WHEREAS,.the City Engineer has made a preliminary report
advising that said proposed improvement is feasible and that it can
be constructed at an estimated cost of $3,121.00.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, as follows:
1. The Council proposes to proceed under authority granted
by Chapter 429, Minnesota Statutes.
2. A public hearing on the proposed improvement shall be
held at the City Hall in the City on Monday, the 12th day of June,
1967, at 8:00 o'clock P.M., daylight saving time, and the Clerk shall
publish notice of the time and place of hearing by two weeks' publica-
tion in the official newspaper of the City.
3. The area proposed to be assessed for said improvement
is as follows:
ALL LOTS AND PARCELS ABUTTING THE ABOVE DESCRIBED STREET
TO BE BENEFITTED BY THE IMPROVEMENT.
4. This proposed improvement shall be designated Water
Improvement Project No. 1967 -34.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, that it is hereby determined that the
properties which will be served by Water Improvement No. 1967 -34
when said improvement is completed, will also be benefitted by
Water Improvement No. 1960 -1, which properties were not initially
assessed for Water Improvement No. 1960 -1; and that as to expendi-
tures made for Water Improvement No. 1960 -1 from general ad valorem tax
levies or other sources and funds in addition to special assessments
heretofore made for said improvement, the City shall be reimbursed
therefor by adding $896.00 to the assessments to be levied for Water
Improvement No. 1967 -34, and the City Clerk shall cause notice that
such additional amounts will be assessed to be included in the notice
of hearing in the making of said Water Improvement Project No. 1967 -34.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly
seconded by member Gordon Erickson and upon vote being taken
thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, john
Leary, Howard Heck, Gordon Erickson and Theodore Willard,
and the following voted against the same: none,
whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
