HomeMy WebLinkAbout1967-200 CCR Member Howard Heck introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption; RESOLUTION NO. 67 -200 RESOLUTION APPROVING COOPERATIVE AGREEMENT BETWEEN HENNEPIN COUNTY AND BROOKLYN CENTER RELATIVE TO PALMER LAKE IMPROVEMENT WHEREAS, in a resolution dated December 13, 1966, the Hennepin County Board of Commissioners formulated a "Policy Statement on Lake Improvement and WHEREAS, on April 19, 1967 the City of Brooklyn Center submitted to Hennepin County an application for financial assistance in the amount of $4, 900.00 in relation to the cost of land acquistion for Palmer Lake, pursuant to the Lake Improvement Policy adopted by Hennepin County; and WHEREAS, on May 16, 1967 the Hennepin County Board of County Commissioners adopted a resolution clarifying its Policy Statement on Lake Improvement and WHEREAS, bn May' 16, 1967 the Hennepin County Board of County Commissioners approved the application of Brooklyn Center for lake improve- ment funds in the amount of $4,900.00; and WHEREAS, Hennepin County has prepared and submitted to Brooklyn Center a form of cooperative agreement which sets forth the terms of the requested Palmer Lake improvement grant from Hennepin County. NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota to approve the form and content of the cooperative agreement relative to the Palmer Lake improvement grant and to authorize the Mayor and the City Manager to execute said cooperative agreement on behalf of the.City of Brooklyn Center June 26, 1967 Date v Mayor ATTEST• z I low- Clerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Theodore Willard and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, John Leary, Gordon Erickson, Howard Heck, and Theodore Willard and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
