HomeMy WebLinkAbout1967-216 CCR Member Gordon Erickson introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 67 -216 RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR PUBLIC HEARINGS ON PROPOSED STREET GRADING,BASE SURFACING IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 1967 -14 AND CURB AND GUTTER IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 1967 -15 WHEREAS, it is proposed that there be constructed improve- ments consisting of the following: 1967 -14 Street Grading,Base Surfacing Dupont Avenue North from 65th Avenue to 67th Avenue. 1967 -15 Curb and Gutter Dupont Avenue North from 65th Avenue to 67th Avenue. WHEREAS, the City Engineer has made a preliminary report advising that said proposed improvements are feasible and that they can be constructed at estimated costs of $25,370.00 and $6,876.00 respectively. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, as follows: 1. The Council proposes to proceed under authority granted by Chapter 429, Minnesota Statutes. 2. A public hearing on the proposed improvements shall be held at the City Hall in the City on Monday, the 24th day of July, 1967, at 8 :20 P.M., and 8:25 P.M., D.S.T., respectively, and the clerk shall publish notice of the time and place of hearing by two weeks' publication in the official newspaper of the City. 3. The area proposed to be assessed for said improvements is as follows: All lots and parcels abutting the above described streets. 4. These proposed improvements shall be designated Street Grading,Base and Surfacing Improvement Project No. 1967 -14 and Curb and Gutter Improvement Project No. 1967 -1 July 10, 1967 Date Mayor r ATTEST: Clerl RESOLUTION NO. 67 -216 The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member John Leary Al and upon vote being taken thereon the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, John Leary, Gordon Erickson, Howard Heck, and Theodore Willard; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
