resolution and, moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 67 -228
RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR PUBLIC HEARING ON
PROPOSED STREET GRADING, BASE AND SURFACING
IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 1967 -10
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 67 -36 provided for a Public Hearing
on proposed. Street Grading Surfacing Improvement Project No.
1967 -10; and,
WHEREAS, aforementioned Public Hearing was held on
February 13, 1967; and
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 67 -54 resolved that Street Grading
Surfacing Improvement Project No. 1967 -10 shall be constructed;
and
WHEREAS, subsequent to the Public Hearing, the scope of
Street Grading Surfacing Improvement Project No. 1967 -10 has
increased beyond, the scope outlined, at the Public Hearing on
February 13, 1967; and
WHEREAS, it is now proposed, that there be constructed an
improvement consisting of the following:
1967 -10 Street Grading, Base and Surfacing on 67th
Avenue North from Humboldt Avenue North to approximately
163.4 feet east of centerline of Colfax Avenue.
WHEREAS, the City Engineer has made a preliminary report
advising that said, proposed improvement is feasible and that it
can be constructed at an estimated cost of $29,690.00.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, as follows:
1. The council proposes to proceed under authority granted
by Chapter 429, Minnesota Statutes.

2. A public hearing on the proposed improvement shall be
held at the City Hall in the city on Monday, the 24th day of July,
j 1967, at 8:00 O'clock, P.M., D.S.T., and the clerk shall publish
notice of the time and place of hearing by two weeks' publication
in the official newspaper of the city.

3. The area proposed, to be assessed for said improvement
is as follows:
All Lots and. Parcels abutting the above described streets.
4. This proposed improvement shall be designated Street
Grading, Base and. Surfacing Improvement Project No. 1967 -10.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly
seconded, by member John Leary and upon vote being
taken thereon the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Co -hen,
John Leary, Gordon Erickson, Howard Heck, and Theodore Willard;
and the following voted against the same: none,
whereupon said, resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
