HomeMy WebLinkAbout1967-017 CCR Member Theodore Willard introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 67 -17 RESOLUTION TO APPROPRIATE STATE AID FUNDS TO TRUNK HIGHWAY 152 PROJECT WHEREAS, on April 3, 1964, the Brooklyn Center (then) Village Council and the Minnesota Highway Department entered into Agreement No. 53996 which provided for the sharing of traffic signal costs at the intersection of T. H. 152 and 55th Avenue North, and at the inter- section of T. H. 152 and 63rd Avenue North. The Agreement further provides for the sharing of the costs for an interconnection system between 55th Avenue North and County State Aid Highway No. 10, and WHEREAS, said Agreement No. 53996 stipulates that Brooklyn Center should pay to the State Highway Department a sum equal to fifty per cent (50 of the actual construction cost plus five per cent (50) of such sum as the Village's share of the cost of engineer ing and inspection, and WHEREAS, the construction project, S. P. No. 27.42 -02, has been completed and approved by the Minnesota Highway Department, and WHEREAS, it has been determined on the basis of Agreement No. 53996 that the Brooklyn Center share of the cost amounts to $17 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center to appropriate from the Brooklyn Center Municipal State Aid Street Account the sum of $17,021.55 to apply toward the installation of traffic signals at T. H. 152 and 55th Avenue North, and traffic signals at T. H. 152 and 63rd Avenue North, and the interconnection system between 55th Avenue North and County State Aid Highway No. 10. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED to request the Commissioner of Highways to approve this authorization and forward said sum of $17,021.55 to the City of Brooklyn Center for the purpose of satisfying Brooklyn Center's obligation as set forth in Agreement No. 53996. i January 23, 1967 Date Mayor ATTEST: ClerW The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Howard Heck and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, John Leary, Gordon Erickson, Howard Heck and Theodore Willard, and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
