HomeMy WebLinkAbout1967-024 CCR Member Theodore Willard introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 67 -24 RESOLUTION TO APPROPRIATE STATE AID FUNDS FOR THE INTERSECTION OF T.H. 152 AND C.S.A.H. 10 WHEREAS, on April 14, 1964, the (then) Village of Brooklyn Center entered into Agreement No. 53995 with Hennepin County which provided for the sharing of traffic signal costs at the intersection of County State Aid Highway No. 10 and State Trunk Highway No. 152, and WHEREAS, said Agreement No. 53995 stipulates that Brooklyn Center should pay to the County fifty per cent (50 of the County share for the above mentioned improvement, and WHEREAS, the County share, by separate agreement between the County and the State, is fifty per cent (50 of the total cost plus five per cent (5 for engineering, and WHEREAS, the construction project S. P. 2742 -02 has been completed and approved by the Minnesota Highway Department and the Hennepin County Highway Department, and WHEREAS, it has been determined on the basis of Agreement No. 53995 that the Hennepin County share of the cost amounts to $6,851.25, and the Brooklyn Center share of the cost amounts to $3,425.62. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, to appropriate from the Brooklyn Center Municipal State Aid Account the sum of $3,425.62 to apply toward the installation of traffic signals at Trunk Highway No. 152 and County State Aid Highway No. 10. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED to request the Commissioner of Highways to approve this authorization and forward said sum of $3,425.62 to the City of Brooklyn Center for the purpose of satisfying Brooklyn Center's obligations as set forth in Agreement No. 53995.
