HomeMy WebLinkAbout1967-031 CCR Member Howard Heck introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 67 -31 RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED WATER MAIN IMPROVEMENT NO. 1967 -1 WHEREAS, it is proposed that there be constructed an improve- ment consisting of the following: 1967 -1 Water main in Oak Street from France Avenue North to East Twin Lake Boulevard; 52nd Avenue North from France Avenue to Lakeside Place; Lakeside Place from 52nd Avenue to East Twin Lake Boulevard; 53rd Avenue North from France Avenue to East Twin Lake Boulevard; East Twin Lake Boulevard from 51st Avenue to 53rd Avenue; Great View Avenue from 52nd Avenue to 53rd Avenue. WHEREAS, the City Engineer has made a preliminary report advising that said proposed improvement is feasible and that it can be constructed at an estimated cost of $38,922.00. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, as follows: 1. The Council proposes to proceed under authority granted by Chapter 429, Minnesota Statutes. 2. A public hearing on the proposed improvement shall be held at the City Hall in the City on Monday, the 27th day of February, 1967, at 8 :00 o'clock P.M., and the Clerk shall publish notice of the time and place of hearing by two weeks' publication in the official newspaper of the City. 3. The area proposed to be assessed for said improvement is as follows: ALL LOTS AND PARCELS ABUTTING THE ABOVE DESCRIBED STREETS. 4. This proposed improvement shall be designated Water Main Improvement No. 1967 -1. February 13, 1967 Date Mayor ATTEST: Clerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Gordon Erickson and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, John Leary, Gordon Erickson, Howard Heck and Theodore Willard, and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
