HomeMy WebLinkAbout1967-032 CCR Member Gordon Erickson introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 67 -32 RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED STREET SURFACING IMPROVEMENT NO. 1967 -2 WHEREAS, it is proposed that there be constructed an improve- ment consisting of the following: 1967 -2 Street surfacing on Oak Street from France Avenue North to East Twin Lake Boulevard; 52nd Avenue North from France Avenue to East Twin Lake Boulevard; 53rd Avenue North from France Avenue to East Twin Lake Boulevard; Lakeside Place from 52nd Avenue to East Twin Lake Boulevard approximately 400 feet north of 52nd Avenue; East Twin Lake Boulevard from 51st Avenue to 53rd Avenue; Great View Avenue from 52nd Avenue to 53rd Avenue. WHEREAS, the City Engineer has made a preliminary report advising that said proposed improvement is feasible and that it can be constructed at an estimated cost of $25,982.00. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, as follows: 1. The Council proposes to proceed under authority granted by Chapter 429 Minnesota Statutes. 2. A public hearing on the proposed improvement shall be held at the City Hall in the City on Monday, the 27th day of February, 1967, at 8 :10 o'clock P.M., and the Clerk shall publish notice of the time and place of hearing by two weeks' publication in the official news- paper of the City. 3. The area proposed to be assessed for said improvement is as follows: ALL LOTS AND PARCELS ABUTTING THE ABOVE DESCRIBED STREETS, 4. This proposed improvement shall be designated Street Surfacing Improvement No. 1967 -2. February 13, 1967 Date Mayor ATTEST: C 16/rk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member John Leary and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, John Leary, Gordon Erickson, Howard Heck and Theodore Willard, 1 A J- f. and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
