HomeMy WebLinkAbout1967-041 CCR Member John Leary introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 67 -41 RESOLUTION SUPPORTING LEGISLATION ESTABLISHING A SYSTEM OF WELL DRILLER REGISTRATION AND REPORTING BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center as follows: 1. The City Council concurs with the position and reasoning of the League of Minnesota Municipalities in its resolution regarding a state system of well driller registration and related reporting requirements, and therefore, the Council supports the adoption of House File 109 which embody the concepts proposed in the League resolution. The representatives of the people of Brooklyn Center in the Senate and the House of Representatives are herewith urged to work for the adoption of this legislation. 2. The Clerk is hereby instructed to transmit copies of this resolution to the Governor of the State of Minnesota, the representatives of the 32nd legislative district, and the chairmen of the appropriate legislative committees. s February 27, 1967 Date Mayor i ATTEST: dlerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Gordon Erickson and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Howard Heck, John Leary, Gordon Erickson and Theodore Willard, and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
