on April 28, 1954 by ordinance establish the Park Board and Public
Recreation Commission; and
WHEREAS, a Park Board General Fund was established to account
for the financial activities of the Park Board; and
WHEREAS, the Village Council of the Village of Brooklyn Center
did on January 10, 1966 by ordinance amendment create a Park and
Recreation Advisory Commission and abolished the existing Park Board
and Recreation Commission; and
WHEREAS, said ordinance amendment did clearly establish the
Commission as an advisory body to the Village Council; and
WHEREAS, the complete authority and responsibility for administering
the financial activities of the Park Fund does now rest with the City Council;
