HomeMy WebLinkAbout1967-060 CCR Member Howard Heck introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 67-60 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A PARKS CONCESSION FUND WHEREAS, the Village Council of the Village of Brooklyn Center did on February 21, 1966 by unanimous vote adopt a motion to "authorize the Director of Finance to establish a Special Revenue Fund for the handling of revenues derived from concessions in the Village Parks and WHEREAS, the directive did not set guide lines for the operation of the Fund, NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center that the City Council reaffirms its directive of February 21, 1966 in establishing a special revenue fund for the handling of revenues derived from concessions in the City Parks and contributions to the Fund from Civic organizations or other contributors. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that: 1. The Fund shall be known as the "Park Concessions Fund". 2. All revenue from park concessions be dedicated to the Fund. 3. All expenditures from the Fund shall be limited to the purchase of concession merchandise for resale and to finance minor equip- ment acquisitions which will be used in the parks or in the recreation program for the benefit of those persons who contribute to the concessions revenue. 4. The Fund will not be on a budgetary basis. 5. The City Manager will authorize the expenditure of funds from the Fund upon the recommendation of the Park and Recreation Advisory Commission. 6. Expenditures from the Fund will be limited to the Fund balance. 7. The Fund shall be subject to the same audit procedures as other City Funds. March 6, 1967 Date UMayor ATTEST: Clerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Gordon Erickson and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, John Leary, Howard Heck, Gordon Erickson and Theodore Willard, and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
