HomeMy WebLinkAbout1967-066 CCR T Member Howard Heck introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 67 -66 RESOLUTION RECOGNIZING AWARDS RECEIVED BY THE EDITOR OF BROOKLYN CENTER POST WHEREAS, Mrs. Mary Jane Gustafson, editor of the official newspaper of the City, the BROOKLYN CENTER POST, recently received two awards from the Minnesota Press Women for her journalistic competence; and WHEREAS, Mrs. Gustafson, while editor of the BROOKLYN CENTER POST, has provided an immeasurable service to the community through her faithful and accurate reporting of events; and WHEREAS, in her role as editor, Mrs. Gustafson has demonstrated an interest in community affairs and has provoked thought and discussion on issues of public import: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council recognize the awards made to the editor of the BROOKLYN CENTER POST, Mrs. Mary Jane Gustafson, and further, commend Mrs. Gustafson for interest in, and service to, the community. March 20, 1967 Date VMayor ATTEST: Deputy Clerk f The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Gordon Erickson and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, John Leary, Gordon Erickson, Howard Heck and Theodore Willard and the following voted against the same: none whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
