and moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 67 -72
RESOLUTION SUPPORTING LEGISLATION WHICH WOULD REQUIRE THE
CERTIFICATION OF TAX PAYMENT PRIOR TO THE FILING OF REGISTERED
LAND SURVEYS
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of Brooklyn Center as follows:
1. The adoption of House File 1245, which would require that
all delinquent and current taxes be paid on property included within
a Registered Land Survey prior to its filing with the County Auditor,
is deemed to be highly desirable legislation and therefore, the
City Council respectfully urges the representatives of the people
of Brooklyn Center to work for the adoption of the aforementioned
proposal.
2. The Clerk is hereby directed to transmit copies of this
resolution to the aforementioned representatives, the Governor of
the State of Minnesota, the Hennepin County Legislative Delegation
and the chairmen of the appropriate legislative committees.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly
seconded by member Howard Heck and upon vote being taken thereon,
the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen,John Leary,
l Gordon Erickson, Howard Heck and Theodore Willard
and the following voted against the same: none
whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
