HomeMy WebLinkAbout1967-078 CCR Member Gordon Erickson introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO.67 78 RESOLUTION GRANTING SPECIAL USE PERMIT FOR SHOPPERS' CITY "GARDEN" STRUCTURE APPLICATION NO. 67009 WHEREAS, Shoppers' City, Inc. proposes to construct a 24 foot by 28 foot garage structure to be used in an outdoor "garden center" sales operation; and WHEREAS, Shoppers' City, Inc. has requested special use permission to allow placement of the structure along the north side of the Shoppers' City property during the times that the "garden center" is not in operation: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center as follows: 1. The City Council finds that the proposed placement of a transportable "garden center" structure along the north side of the Shoppers' City property during the times that the "garden center" is not in operation meets the standards set forth in Section 35 -231 of the City ordinances, and therefore 2. The City Council hereby grants a special use permit to Shoppers' City, Inc. to allow placement of such a structure subject to the following conditions: a. The structure shall be constructed according to all applicable ordinances and shall not exceed 24 feet by 28 feet in dimension. b. The structure shall be located 430 feet west of the east line and 25 feet south of the north line of the Shoppers' City property. c. The structure shall not be used for storage of any materials other than the "garden center" fence. d. The structure shall be maintained at all times in a reasonable state of repair and appearance, as determined by the City Manager. e. The structure shall be removed from the property in the event the structure is rendered non- conforming by future ordinances.
