HomeMy WebLinkAbout1967-090 CCR Member Theodore Willard introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 67 -90 RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR PUBLIC HEARINGS ON PROPOSED WATER MAIN IMPROVEMENT NO. 1967 -17 AND PROVIDING FOR REIMBURSEMENT OF UNASSESSED COST OF WATER IMPROVEMENT NO. 1960 -1 WHEREAS, it is proposed that there be constructed an improve- ment consisting of the following: 1967 -17 Water main in Major Avenue North from 57th Avenue to County Road No. 10. WHEREAS, the City Engineer has made a preliminary report advising that said proposed improvement is feasible and that it can be constructed at an estimated cost of $4,595.00. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, as follows: 1. The Council proposes to proceed under authority granted by Chapter 429, Minnesota Statutes. 2. A public hearing on the proposed improvement shall be held at the City Hall in the City on Monday, the 10th day of April, 1967, at 8:40 o'clock P.M., and the Clerk shall publish notice of the time and place of hearing by two weeks' publication in the official news- paper of the City. 3. The area proposed to be assessed for said improvement is as follows: ALL LOTS AND PARCELS ABUTTING THE ABOVE DESCRIBED STREETS. 4. This proposed improvement shall be designated Water Main Improvement No. 1967 -17. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, that it is hereby determined that the properties which willXg erved by Water Main Improvement No. 1967 -17 when said improvement is completed, will also be benefitted by Water Improvement No. 1960 -1, which properties were not initially assessed for Water Improvement No. 1960 -1; and that as to expenditures made for Water Improvement No. 1960 -1 from general ad valorem tax levies or other sources and funds in addition to special assessments hereto- fore made for said improvement, the City shall be reimbursed therefor by adding $1,775.00 to the assessment to be levied for Water Main Improvement No. 1967 -17, and the City Clerk shall cause notice that such additional amount will be assessed to be included in the notice of hearing in the making of said Water Improvement No. 1967 -17.
