Member Gordon Erickson introduced the following resolution
and moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 67 -113
RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED
WATER IMPROVEMENT NO. 1967 -24 AND PROVIDING FOR
REIMBURSEMENT OF UNASSESSED COST OF WATER IMPROVEMENT
NO. 1960 -1
WHEREAS, it is proposed that there be constructed an
improvement consisting of the following:
1967 -24 Water main on Ewing Avenue North from
50th Avenue to 53rd Avenue.
WHEREAS, the City Engineer has made a preliminary report
advising that said proposed improvement is feasible and that it can
be constructed at an estimated cost of $18,812.00.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, as follows:
1. The Council proposes to proceed under authority
granted by Chapter 429, Minnesota Statutes.
2. A public hearing on the proposed improvement shall be
held at the City Hall in the City on Monday, the 24th day of April,
1967, at 8:00 o'clock P.M., central standard time, and the Clerk
shall publish notice of the time and place of hearing by two weeks'
publication in the official newspaper of the City.
3. The area proposed to be assessed for said improvement
is as follows:
ALL LOTS AND PARCELS ABUTTING THE ABOVE DESCRIBED STREET
TO BE BENEFITED BY THE IMPROVEMENT.
4. This proposed improvement shall be designated Water
Improvement No. 1967 -24.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, that it is hereby determined that the
properties which will be served by Water Improvement No. 1967 -24
when said improvement is completed, will also be benefited by Water
Improvement No. 1960 -1, which properties were not initially assessed
for Water Improvement No. 1960 -1; and that as to expenditures made for
Water Improvement No. 1960 -1 from general ad valorem tax levies or
Resolution No. 67 -113
other sources and funds in addition to special assessments heretofore
made for said improvement the City shall be reimbursed therefor
by adding $3,728.00 to the assessments to be levied for Water
Improvement No. 1967 -24 and the City Clerk shall cause notice that
such additional amounts will be assessed to be included in the notice
of hearing in the making of said Water Improvement No. 1967 -24.

The motion for the adoption for the foregoing resolution was duly
seconded by member Howard Heck and upon vote being
taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen,
John Leary, Gordon Erickson and Howard Heck,
and the following voted against the same: none,
whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
