moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION N0.66 -223
RESOLUTION REVOKING M. S.A. STREET 57TH AVENUE NORTH
FROM T. H. 100 TO HUMBOLDT AVENUE NORTH AND TURNING
SAID SECTION OF ROADWAY OVER TO HENNEPIN COUNTY FOR
ITS TURISDICTION
WHEREAS, the Hennepin County Board adopted a resolution dated
May 24, 1966 wherein the board revoked the C.S.A.H. designation of
Highway #57 (Humboldt Avenue North) between 57th Avenue North and
T.H. 100 with the provision that said section of roadway be returned to the
Village of Brooklyn Center for its operation as a local street; and
WHEREAS, the May 24, 1966 County Board resolution recommended
and requested that C.S.A. Highway #57 be redesignated along a new alignment
consisting of 57th Avenue North between Humboldt Avenue North and T.H. 100;
and
WHEREAS, 57th Avenue North between Humboldt Avenue and T.H. 100
presently constitutes a portion of Brooklyn Center M.S.A. Street #103,
Segment 010.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village
of Brooklyn Center as follows:
1.. The Brooklyn Center Village Council concurs and agrees with the
provisions of the May 24, 1966 resolution adopted by the Hennepin
County Board relative to the revocation of County State Aid Highway
#57 (Humboldt Avenue North) between 57th Avenue North and T.H. 100
and the redesignation of County State Aid Highway #57 between
Humboldt Avenue North and T.H. 100.
2. The Brooklyn Center Village Council hereby revokes, subject to
Commissioner of Highways order, the municipal state aid street
designation of that portion of Brooklyn Center M. S.A. Street #103,
Segment 010 as established by Commissioners order #30848 as
constituted by 57th Avenue North between T.H. 100 and Humboldt
Avenue North.
3. The Brooklyn Center Village Council hereby turns over to Hennepin
County, to be under its jurisdiction 57th Avenue North between
T. H. 100 and Humboldt Avenue North.

4. The Brooklyn Center Village Council agrees to accept under
its jurisidiction the return of Humboldt Avenue North between
5 7th Avenue North and T. H. 10 0.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Village Clerk is hereby authorized
and directed to forward certified copies of this resolution to the Commissioner
of Highways for his consideration and to the Hennepin County Board for its
consideration.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by
member john Leary and upon vote being taken thereon the following
voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, Earl Simons, john Leary and Howard
Heck,
and the following voted against the same: none,
whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
