HomeMy WebLinkAbout1966-263 CCR Member John Leary introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 66 -263 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID AND APPROVING CONTRACT FORM WHEREAS, the Village Administrator and the Village Engineer have reported that on August 29, 1966, at 10 :00 A.M., daylight saving time, they opened and tabulated bids received for Water Main Improve- ment Project No. 1966 -43, Storm Sewer Improvement Project No. 1966 -40, Sanitary Sewer Improvement Project No's. 1966 -41 and 42, Curb 8 Gutter Improvement Project No's. 1966 -44 and 45, and Grading, Base 8 Surfacing Improvement Project No's. 1966 -46 and 47, and that said bids were as follows: Erwin Montgomery Construction Company $66,178.37 Bianconi Construction Company $67 C. S. McCrossan, Inc. $72 R. D. McLean Construction Company, Inc. $77,915.85 Horace Montgomery Construction Company $76,961.66 Nodland Associates, Inc. $78,331.10 Northern Contracting Company $83,336.71 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, that the bid of Erwin Montgomery Construction Company in the amount of $66,178.37, as to the furnishing of all labor, work and material in connection with Water Main Improve ment Project No. 1966 -43, Storm Sewer Improvement Project No, 1966 -40, Sanitary Sewer Improvement Project No's. 1966 -41 and 42, Curb 8 Gutter Improvement Project No's. 1966 -44 and 45, and Grading, Base Surfacing Improvement Project No's. 1966 -46 and 47, according to the plans and specifications therefor now on file in the office of the Village Clerk, is deemed to be the lowest and best bid submitted for said work by a responsible bidder, and said bid is hereby accepted. August 29, 1966 Date Mayor ATTEST: Clerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Earl Simons and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Earl Simons, John Leary and Howard Heck, and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
