its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 66 -268
RESOLUTION APPROVING SERVICE STATION, SPECIAL
USE PERMISSION AS REQUESTED IN APPLICATION NO.
66038 SUBMITTED BY SHELL OIL COMPANY
WHEREAS, Shell Oil Company has filed Application No. 66038 which
includes a request for a service station special use permit for the property
described as Lot 1 of Block 1, Shell's Brooklyn Center Addition; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has, after public notice and
hearing recommended that a special use permit be granted for the operation
of a service station on the subject parcel, after also having reviewed and
approved detailed plans of the station and its site; and
WHEREAS, the Village Council has received said recommendation and
has further considered the application, and has applied the standards for
Special Uses set out in Section 35 -231 and has found the application to con
form to such standards:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Village Council of the
Village of Brooklyn Center authorizes a special use permit for the service
station to be issued for Lot 1, Block 1, Shell's Brooklyn Center Addition.
The Village Council also approves the plans and specifications submitted
to the Council, subject to the following conditions and restrictions:
1. The plans approved are subject to the approval of the
Building Inspector;
2. No free standing signing has been considered or is being
given approval for in this action.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by
member Theodore Willard, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following
voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, Earl Simons, john Leary and Theodore
Willard, and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said
resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
