NORTH AND HIGHWAY NO. 100
WHEREAS, the increasing vehicular traffic at the intersection of
Highway 100 and France Avenue North in Brooklyn Center as a result of
the upgrading of Highway 100 and the continued population growth in
Brooklyn Center has created serious traffic hazards at this uncontrolled
intersection; and
WHEREAS, the extent of the traffic hazard has been amply and
dramatically demonstrated by the frequency and severity of accidents
occurring at said intersection; and
WHEREAS, following passage of Resolution No. 65 -64 on May 3,
1965 in which the Village Council requested the Department of Highways
to conduct a traffic survey at said intersection for the purpose of establishing
warrants for the early installation of traffic signals, such survey was con
ducted and such warrants were established; and
WHEREAS, the Highway Department has indicated an intent to install

additional information as the Brooklyn Center Police Department may have
regarding the number and severity of accidents at said location, be trans-
