HomeMy WebLinkAbout2025-100 CCRMember Jerzak introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 2025-100 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING FEASIBILITY REPORT AND CALLING FOR AN IMPROVEMENT PUBLIC HEARING FOR IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NOS. 2026-06, -07, -08, & -09, JOHN MARTIN DRIVE IMPROVEMENT PROJECT WHEREAS, a feasibility report outlining the proposed improvements to the streets and public utilities in the John Martin Drive area has been prepared; and WHEREAS, the City Engineer has prepared said report and recommends that the proposed improvements be considered; and WHEREAS, a portion of the cost of street improvements for said project is proposed to be assessed against prope1iies within the project area; and WHEREAS, the total project cost for the John Martin Drive Improvement Project is estimated to be $1,126,080; the total cost of the street improvement portion of said project is estimated to be $839,040 and the project funding sources are currently estimated to be: Special Assessments Municipal State Aid Funds Street Reconstruction Fund Storm Drainage Utility Fund Sanitary Sewer Utility Fund Water Utility Fund Total $ 474,315.11 $ 312,974.89 $ 51,750.00 $ 57,960.00 $ 8,280.00 $ 220,800.00 $ 1,126,080.00 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, that: 1.The Engineer's Feasibility Report for the John Mmiin Drive Improvement Project is received and accepted. 2.Notice is hereby given that an improvement public hearing will be held on the 24th day of November, 2025, at 7:00 p.m. or as soon thereafter as pmi of the regular City Council meeting as the matter may be heard to pass upon said improvement project and at such time and place all persons owning property affected by said improvements will be given the opportunity to be heard with reference to said improvements. 3.The City Clerk is directed to cause a notice of the improvement public hearing to be published in the official newspaper at least two weeks prior to the public hearing, and shall state in the notice the total cost of the improvement.
