and moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 66 -300
RESOLUTION ACCEPTING WORK
(CONTRACTED BY VILLAGE)
WHEREAS, pursuant to a written contract signed with the
Village of Brooklyn Center, nter Minnesota Erwin Montgomery Construction
Y C
g Y
Company has satisfactorily completed the following improvement in
accordance with said contract:
Water Main Improvement Project No. 1966 -6
Beard Avenue North from 59th Avenue to 60th Avenue;
Abbott Avenue North from 158 feet south of 59th Avenue
to 150 feet north of 60th Avenue; Zenith Avenue North
from 155 feet south of 59th Avenue to 150 feet north of
60th Avenue; York Avenue North from 152 feet south of
59th Avenue to 150 feet north of 60th Avenue; 59th Avenue
North from T.H. 152 (Osseo Road) to Xerxes Avenue.
NOW, THEREFORE, BEIT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the
Village of Brooklyn Center:
1. The work completed under said contract is hereby accepted
and approved.
2. The value of work performed is less than the original
contract amount by $1 because of general overestimating and
underestimating of plan quantities, and because the contractor bid
a unit price on 2" C.I.P. which was almost half the unit price bid
for 405 Lin. Ft. of 1 -1/2" copper. Therefore, to take advantage of
the economies therein, the 2 C.I.P. was substituted for the 1 -1/2"
copper as part of a field design change, at a substantial saving to
the Village.
3. It is hereby confirmed that final payment has been satis-
fied on said contract on November 14, 1966, taking the contractor's
receipt in full. The total amount paid for said contract for said
improvement project was $36,840.60.
