HomeMy WebLinkAbout1966-324 CCR Member Howard Heck introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 66-324 RESOLUTION REGARDING ELECTRIC SERVICE CHARGES FOR LIQUOR STORE #3 WHEREAS, in a letter dated November 21, 1966 Northern States Power Company advised the Village of Brooklyn Center of the fact that electric service meters have been transposed between Brooklyn Center Liquor Store #3 and G K Cleaners since February 9, 1962, and WHEREAS, the switched meters have resulted in Brooklyn Center paying for power actually consumed by G K Cleaners and G K Cleaners have paid for power actually consumed by Brooklyn Center Liquor Store #3 since February 9, 1962, and WHEREAS, the Village Administrator and Electrical Inspector have confirmed that the two meters were in fact switched between Liquor Store #3 and G K Cleaners, and WHEREAS i the Village Administration ion has confirmed the contention n strat of Northern States Power Company that the switched meters resulted in Brooklyn Center being undercharged for electric power to the extent of $4,555.62, and WHEREAS, the Village Administrator has recommended that the undercharge be satisfied through payment of five equal annual payments at no interest beginning in 1967. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center to accept the claim of Northern States Power Company in the amount of $4,555.62 for undercharged electric service and to direct that the claim be satisfied through payment of five equal annual installments with no interest being charged thereon.
