HomeMy WebLinkAbout1966-327 CCR Member Howard Heck introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 66 -327 APPROPRIATION OF MUNICIPAL STATE AID FUNDS TO TRUNK HIGHWAY 152 PROTECT WHEREAS, on February 8, 1965 the Brooklyn Center Village Council and the Minnesota Highway Department entered into agreement No. 54514 which provided for the sharing of traffic signal costs for a signal to be located at Trunk Highway 152 and 71st Avenue North; and WHEREAS, said agreement No. 54514 stipulated that Brooklyn Center should pay to the State Highway Department a sum equal to fifty percent of the actual construction cost plus six percent of such sum as the Village's share of the cost of engineering and inspection; and WHEREAS, the construction project (S.A.P. No. 09- 010 -03) has been completed and approved by the Minnesota Highway Department; and WHEREAS, it has been determined on the basis of agreement No. 54514 that Brooklyn Center's share of the signal installation amounts to $6,466.00. NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center to appropriate from the Brooklyn Center Municipal State Aid street account the sum of $6,466.00 to apply toward the installation of traffic signals on Trunk Highway 152 at 71st Avenue North; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, to request the Commissioner of Highways to approve this authorization and forward said sum of $6,466. 00 to the City of Brooklyn Center for the purpose of satisfying Brooklyn Center's obligation as set forth in agreement No. 54514.
