and moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 66 -117
RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED
WATER MAIN IMPROVEMENT NO. 1966 -20
WHEREAS, it is proposed that there be constructed an
improvement consisting of the following:
1966 -20 Water Main in 59th Avenue North from Xerxes Avenue
to Upton Avenue; 60th Avenue North from Xerxes Avenue to Vincent
Avenue; Washburn Avenue North from 149 feet south of 59th Avenue
to approximately 185 feet north of 60th Avenue; Vincent Avenue North
from 149 feet south of 59th Avenue to 150 feet north of 60th Avenue;
Upton Avenue North from 150 feet south of 59th Avenue to 240 feet
north of 59th Avenue.
WHEREAS, the Village Engineer has made a preliminary report
advising that said proposed improvement is feasible and that it can
be constructed at an estimated cost of $39,754.00.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of
the Village of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, as follows:
1. The Council proposes to proceed under authority granted
by Chapter 398, Laws of Minnesota, 1953, as amended.
2. A public hearing on the proposed improvement shall be
held at the Village Hall in the Village on Tuesday, the 31st day
of May, 1966, at 8 :00 o'clock P.M., D.S.T., and the Clerk shall
publish notice of the time and place of hearing by two weeks' pub-
lication in the official newspaper of the Village.
3. The area proposed to be assessed for said improvement
is as follows:
ALL LOTS AND PARCELS ABUTTING THE ABOVE DESCRIBED
STREETS WHERE THE PROJECT IS TO BE CONSTRUCTED.
4. The proposed improvement shall be designated Water
Main Improvement No. 1966 -20.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly
seconded by member Theodore Willard and upon vote being taken
thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, Earl
Simons, John Leary, Howard Heck and Theodore Willard,
and the following voted against the same: none,
whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
