and moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 66 -118
RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED
STREET SURFACING IMPROVEMENT NO. 1966 -21
WHEREAS, it is proposed that there be constructed an
improvement consisting of the following:
1966 -21 Street Surfacing on 59th Avenue North from Xerxes
Avenue to Upton Avenue; 60th Avenue North from Xerxes Avenue to
134 feet east of Vincent Avenue; Washburn Avenue North from 149 feet
south of 59th Avenue to 184 feet north of 60th Avenue; Vincent Avenue
North from 149 feet south of 59th Avenue to 150 feet north of 60th
Avenue; Upton Avenue North from 150 feet south of 59th Avenue to
approximately 265 feet north of 59th Avenue.
WHEREAS, the Village Engineer has made a preliminary report
advising that said proposed improvement is feasible and that it can
be constructed at an estimated cost of $22,450.00.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of
the Village of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, as follows:
1. The Council proposes to proceed under authority granted
by Chapter 398, Laws of Minnesota, 1953, as amended.
2. A public hearing on the proposed improvement shall be
held at the Village Hall in the Village on Tuesday, the 31st day
of May, 1966, at 8:20 o'clock P.M., D.S.T., and the Clerk shall
publish notice of the time and place of hearing by two weeks' pub
lication in the official newspaper of the Village.
3. The area proposed to be assessed for said improvement
is as follows:
ALL LOTS AND PARCELS ABUTTING THE ABOVE DESCRIBED
STREETS WHERE THE PROJECT IS TO BE CONSTRUCTED.
4. The proposed improvement shall be designated Street
Surfacing Improvement No. 1966 -21.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly
seconded by member Howard Heck and upon vote being taken
thereon, the following voted in favor thereof Philip Cohen, Earl
Simons, john Leary, Howard Heck and Theodore Willard,
and the following voted against the same: none,
whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
