HomeMy WebLinkAbout1966-123 CCR Member Howard Heck introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 66 -123 RESOLUTION VACATING A PORTION OF WILLOW LANE AND 65th AVENUE NORTH WHEREAS, a petition has been duly filed with the Village Council of the Village of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota for the vacation of that portion of Willow Lane and 65th Avenue North described as a tract of land 50 feet in width over Lot 16, Auditor's Subdivision 310, the center line of which connects a point on the south property line of the above described lot distant 476.50 feet east of the southwest corner thereof and a point on the north line of said lot distant 391.74 feet east of the northwest corner thereof, which is not contained within the boundaries of Willow Lane and 65th Avenue North as platted in Farr's First Addition, Brooklyn Center, Minnesota and recorded with the Registrar of Titles, Hennepin County, Minnesota; and WHEREAS, a Notice of Public Hearing on said proposed vacation to be held on May 16, 1966 was duly published on May 4 and 11, 1966 in the Brooklyn Center Press, and three copies of said notice were posted on April 27, 1966 in conspicuous places within the Village, and WHEREAS, all parties having been heard and no one appearing in opposition thereto: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, as follows: 1. It is deemed to be in the best public interest to, and the Village Council does hereby vacate that portion of Willow Lane and 65th Avenue North described as a tract of land 50 feet in width over Lot 16, Auditor's Subdivision 310, the center line of which connects a point on the south property line of the above described lot distant 476.50 feet east of the southwest corner thereof and a point on the north line of said lot distant 391.74 feet east of the northwest corner thereof, which is not contained within the boundaries of Willow Lane and 65th Avenue North as platted in Farr's First Addition, Brooklyn Center, Minnesota and recorded with the Registrar of Titles, Hennepin County, Minnesota. 2. Said street vacation is consistent with the authority granted by Minnesota Statutes, Section 412.851. 3. The Village Clerk is authorized herewith to certify a copy of this resolution and cause said resolution to be recorded with the Register of Deeds in and for Hennepin County, Minnesota. Resolution No. 66 -123 May 16. 1966 Date Mayor ATTEST: Clerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Theodore Willard and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, Earl Simons, john Leary, Howard Heck and Theodore Willard, and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
