Member Howard Heck introduced the following resolution and
moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 66 -18
RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID FOR ROCK SALT
(RUST PROHIBITIVE TYPE)
WHEREAS, the Village Administrator and Assistant to Administrator
have reported that on January 24, 1966 at 2 :00 P. M. they opened and
tabulated bids received for the furnishing of Rock Salt (Rust Prohibitive Type)
and that said bids were as follows:
Rock Salt (Rust Prohibitive Type)
Cargill Incorporated 13.90 per ton
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the
Village of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota that the bid of Cargill, Inc. in the
amount of $13.90 per ton for the furnishing of rock salt (rust prohibitive type)
in accordance with the specifications is deemed to be the best bid submitted
by a responsible bidder and that said bid is hereby accepted.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded
by member John Leary, and upon vote being taken thereon the following
voted in favor thereof: Howard Heck and John Leary, and the following
voted against the same: Philip Cohen, Earl Simons and Theodore Willard,
whereupon it was declared the resolution had failed.
