HomeMy WebLinkAbout1966-064 CCR Member Earl Simons introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 66 -64 RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED STORM SEWER IMPROVEMENT NO'S. 1966 -3 AND 1966 -3A WHEREAS, it is proposed that there be constructed improve- ments consisting of the following: 1966 -3 Storm Sewer along the north line of Tract C, R.L.S. No. 1142, from Shingle Creek to Washburn Avenue; in Washburn Avenue from the north line of Tract C, R.L.S. No. 1142, to 59th Avenue North; in 59th Avenue North from Washburn Avenue North to Xerxes Avenue North; along the north line of Lot 1, Auditor's Sub- division No. 218 from Shingle Creek to Xerxes Avenue North; in Xerxes Avenue North from 60th Avenue North to 65th Avenue North. 1966 -3A Storm Sewer in 59th Avenue North and 60th Avenue North from Beard Avenue to Xerxes Avenue and in Abbott Avenue North from 150 feet south of 59th Avenue to 59th Avenue. WHEREAS, the Village Engineer has made preliminary reports advising that said proposed improvements are feasible and that they can be constructed at an estimated cost of $61,683.00 and $29,242.00, respectively. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, as follows: 1. The Council proposes to proceed under authority granted by Chapter 398, Laws of Minnesota, 1953, as amended. 2. A public hearing on the proposed improvements shall be held at the Village Hall in the Village on Monday, the 11th day of April, 1966, at 8:30 o'clock P.M., C.S.T., and the Clerk shall pub lish notice of the time and place of hearing by two weeks' publica- tion in the official newspaper of the Village. 3. The areas proposed to be assessed for said improvements are as follows: ALL LOTS AND PARCELS DESCRIBED AS: An area bounded on the west by Trunk Highway No. 152; on the south by Block 5, Hipp's 3rd Addition; on the east by Beard Avenue North; on the north by 60th Avenue North; all of Grimme's 2nd Addition as recorded in the County of Hennepin, State of Minnesota; all of Hipp's 3rd Addition as recorded in the County of Hennepin, State of Minnesota; except Lot 4 of Block 4 and that part of Lot 3, Block 4, lying northwesterly of a line from the southwest corner to the northeast corner, therein; r RESOLUTION NO. 66 -64 i t all of Hipp's 4th Addition as recorded in the County of Hennepin, State of Minnesota, that part of Lot 1, Auditor's Subdivision No. 218, Sec. 2, T. 118 R. 21, as recorded in the County of Hennepin, State of Minnesota, lying west of a line described as follows: Commencing from a point on the south line of said Lo t 1 at the northeast corner of Outlot 5, Hipp's 4th Addition; thence northerly 185.62 feet parallel with the west line of Sec. 2, T. 118, R. 21; thence deflect 90 left, 58.93 feet; thence deflect right 90 and proceed to the point of intersection with the north line of Lot 1, there terminating; that part of Tract C. R.L.S. No. 1142, as recorded in the County of Hennepin, State of Minnesota, lying east of a line 145 feet east of and parallel with the west line of Tract C (center line of Xerxes Avenue); west of a line 210 feet west of the east line of Tract C; and north of a line 511.50 feet south of the north line of Tract C thereof. 4. The proposed improvements shall be designated Storm Sewer Improvement No's. 1966 -3 and 1966 -3A. March 28, 1966 Date U Mayor ATTEST: The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member John Leary and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, Earl Simons, John Leary and Theodore Willard, and the following voted against the same none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
