moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 66 -71
RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID FOR PLANT -MIXED BITUMINOUS
MATERIAL
WHEREAS, the Village Engineer and Assistant to Administrator have
reported that on April 4, 1966 at 2 :00 P. M. they opened and tabulated bids
received for the furnishing of plant -mixed bituminous material and said bids
were as follows-

and
WHEREAS, the Village Engineer reports that delivered coarse aggregate
bituminous material will not be required during the ensuing year and he therefore
recommends rejection of that portion of the bids; and
WHEREAS, the Village Engineer advises that the past services of C. S.
McCrossan Inc. have been in the best interests of the Village, while the past
services of Alexander Construction Co. have not completely served the best
interests of the Village:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village
of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota to reject bids for delivered coarse aggregate
bituminous material; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the bid of C. S. McCrossan Inc. for
furnishing plant -mixed bituminous material in accordance with the specifications
is deemed to be the best bid submitted by a responsible bidder and said bid is
hereby accepted.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by
member John Leary and upon vote being taken thereon the following
voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, Earl Simons, Howard Heck, John
Leary and Theodore Willard,
and the following voted against the same: none,
whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
