HomeMy WebLinkAbout1966-071 CCR Member Howard Heck introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 66 -71 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID FOR PLANT -MIXED BITUMINOUS MATERIAL WHEREAS, the Village Engineer and Assistant to Administrator have reported that on April 4, 1966 at 2 :00 P. M. they opened and tabulated bids received for the furnishing of plant -mixed bituminous material and said bids were as follows- Coarse Aggregate Coarse Aggregate Fine Aggregate Bidder Picked Ur) Delivered Picked Up Dunkley Surfacing Co. 5.20 /ton 5.90 /ton 5.50 /ton J. V. Gleason Co. Inc. 5.25 6.25 5.25 C. S. McCrossan Inc. 4.75 5.25 4.75 Blacktop Service Co. 5.25 6.25 5.50 Alexander Const. Co. 4.75 4.75 4.75 and WHEREAS, the Village Engineer reports that delivered coarse aggregate bituminous material will not be required during the ensuing year and he therefore recommends rejection of that portion of the bids; and WHEREAS, the Village Engineer advises that the past services of C. S. McCrossan Inc. have been in the best interests of the Village, while the past services of Alexander Construction Co. have not completely served the best interests of the Village: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota to reject bids for delivered coarse aggregate bituminous material; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the bid of C. S. McCrossan Inc. for furnishing plant -mixed bituminous material in accordance with the specifications is deemed to be the best bid submitted by a responsible bidder and said bid is hereby accepted.
