HomeMy WebLinkAbout1966-085 CCR Member John Leary introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 66 -85 RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING A PUBLIC HEARING ON THE PROPOSED VACATION OF A PORTION OF NOBLE AVENUE WHEREAS, the Brooklyn Center Methodist Church, a religious corporation, Evelyn A. Hovde and Melvin H. Miller and Eleanor H. Miller have petitioned the Village Council to vacate that portion of Noble Avenue which abuts Lots 5, 4, 3 and a portion of Lot 2, all in Block 1 Hoppe' s First Addition, and lying east of the easterly right -of -way line of Osseo Road; which is also described a a f T 119 R 21 and c s escr bed s that part o Sec tion 27 p Section 28 T 119 R 21 Hennepin ount Minnesota. Beginning County, g g at a point in the East line of said Section 28, distant 957.75 feet south from the East 1/4 corner of said Section 28, (said East line assumed at bearing South); thence South 55 21' 30" West, 40.11 feet; thence South 117.90 feet; thence South 34' 38' 30" East, 116.11 feet; thence North, 259.03 feet; thence South 55" 21' 30" West, 40.11 feet to the point of beginning. WHEREAS, the Brooklyn Center Methodist Church, a religious corporation, Evelyn A. Hovde and Melvin H. Miller and Eleanor H. Miller own all of the abutting property of the proposed vacation. I NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of Brooklyn Center that a public hearing shall be held in the Village Hall in the Village on the 16th Day of May 1966 at 8 :00 P.M. to hear objections, if any, to the vacation of the above described street, and the Clerk shall post and publish notice of this hearing as required by law. April 18, 1966 Date Mayor ATTEST: Clerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Earl Simons and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, Earl Simons, Howard Heck, John Leary and Theodore Willard, and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
