HomeMy WebLinkAbout1966-105 CCR Member Howard Heck introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION 6 -105 UTION NO. RESOLUTION ACCEPTING RESIGNATION OF ARDETH J. LEE AS VILLAGE ADMINISTRATOR WHEREAS, Ardeth J. Lee has served the Village of Brooklyn Center since May 16, 1955, first as Village Engineer and as Village Administrator since July 31, 1956; and WHEREAS, during his tenure, the Village has experienced its greatest residential and commercial growth; and WHEREAS, under his direction, the Village administrative and operating staff has grown from 12 full -time employees in 1955 to the present full -time compliment of 90 persons; and WHEREAS, upon his recommendation the Village Council appointed department heads which were and are professionally trained and highly competent in their respective fields; and WHEREAS, during his tenure he has always made himself available, and has provided information and advice, to the various advisory boards and commissions of the Village; and WHEREAS, he has served the Village Council well, and has presented positive programs for Council consideration which have given the community a reputation for proper administrative direction and stability: NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that The VillageCouncil of the Village of Brooklyn Center officially accept the resignation of Ardeth J. Lee with deep and sincere regret, and wish him the very best in his new position as Hennepin County Highway Administrator May 9, 1966 Date Mayor ATTEST: Clerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member John Leary and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, Earl Simons, John Leary, Howard Heck and Theodore Willard, and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
