HomeMy WebLinkAbout1965-161 CCR Member John Leary introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 65 -161 RESOLUTION PROVIDING TERMS FOR ACQUISITION OF OUTLOT 1, FRANK WAITE'S SECOND ADDITION AND OUTLOT 5, BERGSTROM'S LYNSIDE MANOR FOURTH ADDITION WHEREAS, on September 3, 1963, the Village Council authorized the Administrator and Village Engineer to proceed with negotiations for the acquiring of Outlot 1, Frank Waite's Second Addition and Outlot 5, Bergstrom's Lynside Manor Fourth Addition, and WHEREAS, the Village Engineer based the negotiated value of the subject outlots upon the investments in improvements which the respective developers, Kenneth Bergstrom and Frank Waite, incurred west of the center line of Noble Avenue and east of the center line of Perry Avenue respectively, and WHEREAS, the Village Engineer reports that he successfully and equitably completed negotiations on that basis and he recommends the acquisition of Outlot 5, Bergstrom's Lynside Manor Fourth Addition for the negotiated price of $2,373.80 payable to Kenneth Bergstrom and the acquisition of Outlot 1, Frank Waite's Second Addition for the negotiated price of $2,200.42 payable to Frank Waite, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, to approve the payment of $2,373.80 to Kenneth Bergstrom for Outlot 5, Bergstrom's Lynside Manor Fourth Addition, and to approve the payment of $2,200.42to Frank Waite for Outlot 1, Frank Waite's Second Addition. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the payments be made from Special Assessment Project No. 1965 -30. August 30, 1965 Date yor ATTEST: Clerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Phil Cohen and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Gordon Erickson, Phil Cohen, John Leary, Earl Simons, and Howard Heck, and the following voted against the same: None; whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
