and moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 65 -181
RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED
STREET SURFACING IMPROVEMENT NO'S. 1965 -23, 44, 48,
AND 58
WHEREAS, it is proposed that there be constructed improvements
consisting of the following:
1965 -23 Street Surfacing on Bryant and Colfax Avenues North
from F.A.I. 94 to 65th Avenue and 64th Avenue North from 136 feet
west of Colfax Avenue to Bryant Avenue.
1965 -44 Street Surfacing on Beard Avenue North from Lawrence
Road to 60th Avenue North.
1965 -48 Street Surfacing on Humboldt Avenue North from
approximately 657 feet south of 69th Avenue to 70th Avenue.
1965 -58 Street Surfacing on Camden Avenue North from 62nd
Avenue to 635 feet north and Mary Lane from Camden Avenue to 250
feet east.
WHEREAS, the Village Engineer has made a preliminary report
advising that said proposed improvements are feasible and that they
can be constructed at an estimated cost of $11,386.00, $5,050.00,
$6,875.00, and $2,150.00 respectively.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the
Village of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, as follows:
1. The Council proposes to proceed under authority granted
by Chapter 398, Laws of Minnesota, 1953, as amended.
2. A public hearing on the proposed improvements shall be
held at the Village Hall in the Village on Monday, the 27th day of
September, 1965 respectively at 9 :20, 10:00, 9:40, 9 :00 o'clock P.M.,
and the Clerk shall publish notice of the time and place of hearing
by two weeks publication in the official newspaper of the Village.
3. The area proposed to be assessed for said improvements
are as follows:
ALL LOTS AND PARCELS ABUTTING THE ABOVE DESCRIBED STREETS
4. These proposed improvements shall be designated Street
Surfacing Improvement No's. 1965 -23, 44, 48, and 58.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly
i seconded by member Phil Cohen and upon vote being taken
thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Gordon Erickson,
Phil Cohen, john Leary, Earl Simons and Howard Heck
and the following voted against the same: None
whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
