its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 65 -205
RESOLUTION RESCINDING RESOLUTION NO. 65 -186
AND ACCEPTING QUOTATION ON CHAIRS FOR THE
MEETING ROOM OF THE BROOKLYN CENTER PUBLIC LIBRARY
WHEREAS, on September 20, 1965 the Village Council adopted Resolution
No. 65 -186 and thereby accepted the price quotation of Miller -Davis Company
to supply chairs for the meeting room of the Brooklyn Center Library, said
acceptance being contingent upon the supplier furnishing the Village with a
written statement guaranteeing the chairs in all respects for a period of five
years; and
WHEREAS, the Miller -Davis Company has stated that such a guarantee
shall not be furnished; and
WHEREAS, the second lowest quotation meeting specifications was
submitted by the firm of Farnham's, as shown in Resolution No. 65 -186; and
WHEREAS, Farnham's has submitted a written statement guaranteeing
the specified chairs for a period of five years;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village
of Brooklyn Center as follows:
1. Resolution No. 65 -186 is hereby rescinded.
2. The quotation of Farnham's, for the supply of the
chairs and dollies specified in Resolution No. 65 -186,
meeting all requirements, is deemed the best submitted
by a responsible bidder, and is hereby accepted.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded
by member Phil Cohen and upon vote being taken thereon, the following
voted in favor thereof: Gordon Erickson, Phil Cohen, John Leary, Earl Simons
and Howard Heck, and the following voted against the same: none
whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
