HomeMy WebLinkAbout1965-205 CCR Member John Leary introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 65 -205 RESOLUTION RESCINDING RESOLUTION NO. 65 -186 AND ACCEPTING QUOTATION ON CHAIRS FOR THE MEETING ROOM OF THE BROOKLYN CENTER PUBLIC LIBRARY WHEREAS, on September 20, 1965 the Village Council adopted Resolution No. 65 -186 and thereby accepted the price quotation of Miller -Davis Company to supply chairs for the meeting room of the Brooklyn Center Library, said acceptance being contingent upon the supplier furnishing the Village with a written statement guaranteeing the chairs in all respects for a period of five years; and WHEREAS, the Miller -Davis Company has stated that such a guarantee shall not be furnished; and WHEREAS, the second lowest quotation meeting specifications was submitted by the firm of Farnham's, as shown in Resolution No. 65 -186; and WHEREAS, Farnham's has submitted a written statement guaranteeing the specified chairs for a period of five years; NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of Brooklyn Center as follows: 1. Resolution No. 65 -186 is hereby rescinded. 2. The quotation of Farnham's, for the supply of the chairs and dollies specified in Resolution No. 65 -186, meeting all requirements, is deemed the best submitted by a responsible bidder, and is hereby accepted. October 4, 1965 Date Mayor Y l ATTEST: Clerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Phil Cohen and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Gordon Erickson, Phil Cohen, John Leary, Earl Simons and Howard Heck, and the following voted against the same: none whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
