HomeMy WebLinkAbout1965-211 CCR r The Village Council considered Application No. 65074 submitted by Gerald Anderson for a variance from Sections 35 -401 and 35 -402 to construct a double attached garage to the east side of 4800 71st Avenue North. After review of the facts concerning Mr. Anderson's application, Councilman John Leary introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 65 -211 RESOLUTION APPROVING APPLICATION NO. 65074 SUBMITTED BY GERALD ANDERSON WHEREAS, Gerald Anderson of 4800 71st Avenue North has submitted Application No. 65074 requesting a variance from 35 -401 and 35 -402 to construct a 22 ft. garage attached to the east side of his home on Lot 1,Block 1, of Lang's Addition, and WHEREAS, The Village Council has reviewed the facts concerning this application and has determined that the proposed location is the proper location for a garage, and WHEREAS, the applicant has agreed to reduce the width of the garage to 20 feet and it is noted that the corner lot in this case is located at a controlled intersection; and it is further noted that prior to 1957, a 15 -foot side yard setback was permitted on corner lots; NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Village Council of the Village of Brooklyn Center approves Application No. 65074, provided the garage width is limited to 20 feet which would provide a 15 -foot setback from the easterly property line. October 11, 1965 Date Mayor M1 i ATTEST: &J a Clerk I The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Phil Cohen and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof Gordon Erickson, Phil Cohen, john Leary, Earl Simons and Howard Heck, and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
