HomeMy WebLinkAbout1965-212 CCR Member Earl Simons introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption- RESOLUTION NO. 65 -212 a RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING A POLICY FOR THE APPOINTMENT OF TEMPORARY EMPLOYEES IN THE RECREATION DEPARTMENT WHEREAS, it is desirable that a uniform policy be established in respect to the duration of appointments to temporary positions in the Village of Brooklyn Center Recreation Department, and WHEREAS, it is deemed that the duration of the appointments shall be for a period of three months or less, and WHEREAS, the employees currently employed by the Village of Brooklyn Center as temporary employees in the Recreation Department have received appointments of an indefinite duration, NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of Brooklyn Center that the employment of all temporary employees in the Recreation Department be terminated on October 18, 1965, and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that future appointments to temporary positions in the Recreation Department be for a period of three months or less. The appointments shall expire on the last day of February, May, August or November next following the appointment. October 18, 1965 Date Mayor ATTEST: a C,414� Clerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member John Leary and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Gordon Erickson, Phil Cohen, John Leary, Earl Simons and Howard Heck, and the following voted against the same: none whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
