its adoption;
RESOLUTION NO. 65 -227
RESOLUTION TO AMEND RESOLUTION NO. 65 -216 APPROVING
1966 BUDGET AND AUTHORIZING A LEVY THEREFOR
WHEREAS, on October 18, 1965 the Village Council did adopt Resolution
No. 65 -216 approving the 1966 budget and authorizing a levy therefor, and
WHEREAS, since that date certain changes in the levy are deemed
desirable;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village
of Brooklyn Center that Resolution No. 65 -216 be hereby rescinded, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED as follows:
1. There is hereby approved for expenditures in 1966 from general
taxes, the following sums for the purpose indicated:
Village Operations and Administration 587,074
Poor Relief 3,500
Firemen's Relief Association 5,405
Public Employee Retirement Association 31,000
County Parks 3,653
630,632
The foregoing does not include levies already certified to the County
Auditor for the payment of outstanding loans which levies for the year 1966
are as follows:
Certificates of Indebtedness 23,857
State Loan 2,157
Park Bond Redemption 33,700
59,714
Total Expenditures for the year 1966 from
generaltaxes.......... 690,346
2. There is hereby evied upon all taxable property lying within

the Village of Brooklyn Center, in addition to all levies heretofore
certified to the County Auditor as indicated in paragraph 1 hereof,
the sum of 630, 632, and the clerk shall cause a copy of this
resolution to be certified to the County Auditor, so that said sum
shall be spread upon the tax rolls and will be payable in the year 1966.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by
member Earl Simons and upon vote being taken thereon, the following
voted in favor thereof: Gordon Erickson, Phil Cohen, john Leary, Earl Simons
and Howard Heck and the following voted against the same; none
whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
