HomeMy WebLinkAbout1965-234 CCR Member Phil Cohen introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 65 -234 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING WORK OF GENERAL CONTRACTOR ON THE BROOKLYN CENTER PUBLIC LIBRARY, WITH CERTAIN EXCEPTIONS WHEREAS, Cerny Associates, architects for the Brooklyn Center Public Library project, have inspected the construction work performed by the general contractor pursuant to the general construction contract for said project; and WHEREAS, the architect has reported that said general construction work has been satisfactorily completed by the general contractor, with the exception of the following items: 1. Painting of exterior mechanical equipment. 2. Miscellaneous painting in Mechanical Room No. 100, as outlined in Omission and Deficiency List of October 22, 1965. 3. Caulking of all exterior door and window frames as outlined in Omission and Deficiency List of October 22, 1965. 4. Grinding and polishing of glass shelves in display case. Re -paint display case. 5. Replacement of integral ceiling areas as outlined in Omission and Deficiency List of October 22, 1965. Re -level all flat portions of integral ceiling. WHEREAS, the architect has recommended and, in a letter dated November 19, 1965, that the work of the General Contractor be accepted, excluding the aforementioned five uncompleted items. NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of Brooklyn Center upon the recommendation of the architect that the general construction work for the public library building, except for those items noted above, be accepted as of Wednesda November 24, 1965. November 22, 1965 Date May or ATTEST: Clerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member John Leary, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Gordon Erickson, Phil Cohen, John Leary, Earl Simons and Howard Heck, and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
