and moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 65-8
RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING VILLAGE
COUNCIL POLICY PERTAINING TO
RESIDENCY OF DEPARTMENT HEADS
WHEREAS, the Village Council is of the opinion that heads of
departments in the Village government should be part of the social
community of the Village in order to gain the benefit of personal
observations regarding the community and its needs, and to develop a
feeling and understanding of the desires of citizens of the community:
NOW, THEREFOR, BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the
Village of Brooklyn Center as follows:
The Village Council desires that all heads of departments
in the Village government, as defined in Chapter 6 of the Village
Ordinances, establish their personal residence within the corperate
limits of Brooklyn Center as soon as practica

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded
by member Howard Heck and upon vote being taken thereon the
following voted in favor thereof: Gordon Erickson, Howard Heck, Phil Cohen,
John Leary and Earl Simons.
and the following voted against the same: None
whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
